Mr Faisal Kabir Chowdhury is the Honorable sponsor shareholder Director & founder member of PGIC Ltd since established in the year 1988. He was born in a prominent/renowned Chowdhury family, from Village Kaikhali,district Feni. His father, late Mosharref Hossain Chowdhury, was a lawyer and the Chairman of No-1 Sindurpur UP for 25 years until his demise in 1972. His grandfather, Abdul Gani Chowdhury was a landlord, famously the highest land tax payers in the district, during the era of British India. His grandmother (paternal), was the only daughter of late Altaf Ali Miah (the greatest MIAH of that time, British India era) His grandfather (maternal), Advocate Bazlur Rahman, was the lawyer in the trial of MasterDa Surya Sen, who is noted for leading the 1930 Chittagong armoury raid in Chittagong. Advocate Bazlur Rahman was a family friend & close associate of Sher-e-Bangla A. K. Fazlul Huq, first Prime Minister of Bengal during the British Raj.

Faisal Kabir Chowdhury is the batchmate of late Sheikh Jamal (second son of father of the nation Bangabondhu) and Sheikh Maruf in Dhaka College, 1973-74 batch.

He started his business in 1980 with Al-Aqsa International Co. Ltd. He is a member of the Dhaka Stock Exchange since 1982, and the proprietor of Al Faisal Securities, a Shareholder firm of Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd. He also owns Faisal Tower, a commercial building in Dhaka’s Gulshan 2. He is the partner of Al Aska International Company, owner of No.10 Karwan Bazar, a commercial building where Ekushey TV is located. He is also a partner of PMP International company. He is the life member of Feni Shamity Dhaka since the inception. He was also the former President of Lion’s Club of Dhaka Ramna.

His expertise and experience have been vital for enhancement and eventual growth of the companies. In his personal life he is a person of pleasant personality. He is widely travelled person. He resides with his family in Gulshan. His wife is active in the Gulshan social forum, and they have two children, a daughter and a son. His daughter completed her Masters in Applied Economics from the University of Nottingham, UK. She is mother of a boy. His son has a Bachelors in Business Management from Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Malaysia. By birth the family is Muslim.
